Although he originally hails from St. Louis, Joe Bush moved to Savannah in 2000 to begin fine arts studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004, Joe remained in his adopted home and continued his exploration of mixed media with an emphasis on photography. His recent work is an investigation of Savannah and the people and places that make up the fabric of the storied city. Bush currently lives in Savannah Georgia after spending a decade in Santa Monica with his partner Stephen Stanley.
